130 pint-per-day capacity dehumidifies the entire house! Just set the controls for the desired humidity level and the automatic sampling process turns on the unit if dehumidification is needed. The WHD-130A is big enough to be effective in virtually any home and in the most humid conditions.
This dehumidifier can be installed in new construction or existing homes. At about 2 feet square, it doesn t require much space, whether sitting on the floor or suspended from joists (hanging brackets are optional).
Not only is the WHD-130A effective at removing excess humidity, it operates quietly, thanks to cabinet lining of 1" thick high density insulation. Also, the compressor and fan have rubber isolator mounts, and the rubber feet and hanging bracket rubber isolators prevent vibration as well.
Why a whole house dehumidifier? Humidity is a critical factor in the body s comfort level because it affects the overall ability to regulate temperature. While a central A/C system is effective on hot and humid days, during cooler or rainy days it may not operate long enough to dehumidify the home.
As a result, you may turn the thermostat down to force the A/C to run. But what you get is a cold, clammy feeling because cold air holds less moisture than warm air, so the relative humidity in the house may actually increase.
Similarly, tighter construction on today s homes--vapor barriers, insulation and energy efficient windows--may shorten the A/C cycle with the result that not enough moisture is removed to keep you comfortable.
The WHD-130A maintains the humidity level in the house at the desired level--and it may reduce the load on the central A/C system at the same time, helping to save on energy.
